Maj M.A. Bourquin
Major Bourquin is from Conway, AR and enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserves in December 1995. He graduated from the University of Central Arkansas in 1999 with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Political Science. He was commissioned a 2ndLt after graduating from Officer Candidate Course in December 1999. After graduation from The Basic School, he graduated from Air Defense Officer Course, at MCB 29 Palms, California.
Major Bourquin’s assignments include, Marine Air Control Squadron 1, Yuma, AZ as an Air Defense Control Officer from 2002-2004, Marine Corps Recruiting Command, Quantico, VA. where he served as the G-3 Future Operations Plans Officer, Marine Tactical Air Command Squadron 18, in various billets including Operations Officer from 2008-2011, and the Naval Academy Preparatory School from 2011-2015, where he served as Executive Officer. He reported to Marine Air Support Squadron 2 as the Executive Officer in July 2015.
Major Bourquin’s was deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom I in 2003 and Operation Enduring Freedom in 2009.
Major Bourquin is a graduate of the Expeditionary Warfare School (Resident) program and the Marine Corps Command and Staff program (non-resident).
Major Bourquin’s personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy/Marine Corps Commendation Medal with Gold Star in lieu of second award, and the Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal with Gold Star in lieu of third award.
