Sergeant Major Mckoy grew up in Jamaica, West Indies. She enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in October 1999 and graduated
from Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island and Marine Combat Training in Camp Geiger, NC. She then reported to Camp Johnson,
NC for Supply Administration School and was assigned the military occupational specialty 3043. Her first assignment was 3rd FSSG
Okinawa Japan for the term of one year.
In April 2001, Sergeant Major Mckoy reported to Henderson Hall, Arlington VA, where she served as the Supply Administration and
Operation Specialist. In November 2003 she was attached to Marine Barracks Washington D.C and assigned to the President's Own
Band.
In January 2007, Sergeant Major Mckoy was assigned to Headquarters and Service Battalion, 4th FSSG, Marietta GA. She served as
the Supply Administration Chief, the Fiscal Chief, and several other billets while assigned to the Inspector-Instructor Staff.
In May 2010, Sergeant Major Mckoy was assigned to Combat Logistics Regiment 2, 2d Maintenance Battalion, Camp Lejeune, NC.
She served as the Supply Chief and deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
In June 2012, Sergeant Major Mckoy was assigned to 1st Battalion, 10th Marines, 2d Marine Division, Camp Lejeune, NC, where she
was assigned to the female integration program - one of only five females assigned to this mission.
In June 2015, Sergeant Major Mckoy received orders to recruiting duty, serving as canvassing recruiter and Military Entrance
Processing Station Liaison in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
In August 2018, Sergeant Major Mckoy was assigned to Task Force 51/5 Marine Expeditionary Brigade, Bahrain. She served as the
liaison between the Marine Corps and the Navy Supply system.
In August 2019, Sergeant Major Mckoy was assigned to 3d Maintenance Battalion where she served as the Company First Sergeant for
Electronics Maintenance Company, Ground Equipment Support Program 21.1 in Australia, and Engineer Maintenance Company.
In April 2022, Sergeant Major Mckoy reported to Marine Wing Communications Squadron 18. She served as the Company First
Sergeant for Headquarters and Service Company.
Sergeant Major Mckoy assumed her current duties as Command Senior Enlisted Leader of Marine Wing Support Squadron 171 in May
of 2023.
Sergeant Major Mckoy's personal awards includes the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal and Navy and Marine Corps
Achievement Medal (gold star in lieu of third award).
