CMDCM (SW/AW) Medea A. Dudley

 

Command Master Chief Medea Dudley assumed responsibilities as Command Master Chief for the Commanding General, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing Okinawa, Japan in July 2020 after serving as Command Master Chief for PRINCETON (CG 59) in San Diego, California.

A native of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, Command Master Chief Dudley enlisted in the Navy in 1991. She attended boot camp in Orlando, FL followed by Hospital Corpsman “A” school in Great Lakes, IL and Surgical Technologist “C” school at Naval School of Health Sciences in Norfolk VA. She then reported to USS MCKEE (AS-41) at the Naval Submarine Base in Point Loma, CA. After a successful tour onboard MCKEE she reported to Naval Medical Center San Diego in July 1996. In 2000, she reported aboard the USS ESSEX (LHD-2) in Sasebo, Japan, where she completed numerous amphibious forward deployed exercises to include FOAL EAGLE 2000, TEADEM Thrust 01, Humanitarian Assistance Operations to East Timor and COBRA GOLD 2002.

Taking her Fleet experience back to the schoolhouse, she served as Surgical Technology Lead Instructor at Naval School of Health Sciences in 2002 and was selected to Chief Petty Officer in September 2006. In 2008 deployed onboard USNS MERCY (TAH-19) in support of Pacific Partnership 08 (PP08.) In 2009 she served as Senior Enlisted Leader for the Director of Administration and acting Command Master Chief at U.S. Naval Hospital in Naples, Italy. In May 2011 she was selected to Senior Chief Petty Officer and, in February 2012, selected into the Command Senior Chief Program.

In July 2012, she reported as the Medical Department LCPO onboard USS GREEN BAY (LPD-20), and successfully executed 2012-2013 deployment to the Western Pacific and various other Department of Defense directed operations.

In 2014, reported to NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center San Diego in April 2014 and promoted to Command Master Chief in May 2014. CMCDM Dudley reported to USS PINCKNEY in July 2015 and completed a 12 month Dry-dock Selected Restricted Availability (DSRA), and successfully completed Basic Phase, RIMPAC 16, GRUSAIL, SWATT, COMPTUEX, 2017 C5F and C7F AOR deployment earning DESRON NINE Unit Tactics award and the coveted Battle “E”.

Onboard PRINCETON, CMDCM Dudley also completed a safe and successful seven month SRA and Sea Trials, followed by a highly successful Basic Phase certification cycle; inspected at Class Average by Board of Inspection and Survey (INSURV), earned 2018 Retention Excellence Award, 2018 Carrier Strike Group 11 (CSG11) Unit Tactics Award, coveted 2018 Spokane Trophy Award, 2019 Live Fire With A Purpose (LFWAP) event, 2020 GRUSAIL, SWAAT and COMPTUEX.

Command Master Chief Dudley is a graduate of Keystone 18-1, MCPON’s Executive Leadership, Symposium, Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 179 - GOLD) and CMC/COB (Class 126) at the Naval Leadership and Ethics Center in Newport, RI.

CMDCM Dudley is married to Martin E. Dudley, USN (Ret.) and her personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (4), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (5), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (4) and various Campaign and unit awards.
