ATCS Dickerson

Senior Chief Dickerson joined and attended boot camp in Great Lakes, IL on December 6th, 1999.  He attended Aviation Electronics Technician “A” school in Pensacola, FL.  His first duty station was AIMD NAS Oceana Sea-op DET.  While stationed there he deployed aboard the USS Kennedy and qualified his Air warfare and Surface warfare qualifications as an Airman.

Upon his return from deployment, he was advanced to Petty Officer 3rd class before transferring to AIMD Mayport to support Helo squadrons.  He would advance to 2nd class Petty Officer during his tour before accepting orders to Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron-31 in Beaufort, SC where he would complete two deployments on the USS Enterprise and one on the USS Nimitz as well as be meritoriously advanced to 1st class.

His next duty assignment would return him to Great Lakes, IL, but this time as a Recruit Division Commander.  Shortly after arriving to Recruit Training Command he would be selected to Chief Petty Officer and deem his time as a RDC as one of the most rewarding in his career.  His departure from Recruit Training Command would take him to the USS Nimitz, ships company, where he would be advanced to Senior Chief Petty Officer.  After one year on board he was co-located to his wife in Honolulu, HI where he would fill in as the Command Master Chief at Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron-24.

ATCS Dickerson’s awards include; Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (5) and numerous unit and campaign ribbons.
