Lieutenant Colonel Jason M. Constance is a native of Pickens, South Carolina. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Southern Wesleyan University in 2005.
He was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in December 2010 upon graduating from Officer Candidates School in Quantico, Virginia. Following his completion of The Basic School with Delta Company 4-10 in November 2011, Second Lieutenant Constance reported to NAS Pensacola, Florida for flight training. During a temporary assignment prior to Aviation Preflight Indoctrination, he served as the Battalion Range Officer with 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion. He resumed training in mid-2011, completing Aviation Preflight Indoctrination and subsequently reporting to NAS Corpus Christi, Texas for Primary Flight Training in the T-34C. He was promoted to First Lieutenant in December 2012.
Upon selection for the rotary-wing pipeline, First Lieutenant Constance transferred to NAS Whiting Field, Florida for Advanced Flight Training in the TH-57B and TH-57C. He earned his designation as a Naval Aviator in February 2013.
He next reported to HMLAT-303 at MCAS Camp Pendleton for training in the AH-1W Cobra. There he served as the squadron Intelligence Officer and was promoted to Captain in January 2014. Captain Constance was medically grounded from flight status and subsequently redesignated as an Aviation Supply Officer (MOS 6602) in January 2015.
Captain Constance reported to MALS-14 at MCAS Cherry Point, North Carolina, where he served in multiple billets including CMD Officer-in-Charge, RMD Officer-in-Charge, Adjutant/Legal Officer, Assistant Aviation Supply Officer, and Executive Officer.
Following his tour at MALS-14, Captain Constance reported to Fleet Readiness Center East in June 2018, where he served as the Components Division Military Deputy. He was selected for promotion to Major during this tour and received follow-on orders to NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP-WSS) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Upon arriving at NAVSUP-WSS in July 2019, Captain Constance served as the Marine Corps Liaison for Industrial Support and was promoted to Major in October 2019. He later assumed duties as the AV-8B Integrated Weapon Systems Team Director, overseeing repairable component support for all U.S. Marine Corps, Italian Navy, and Spanish Navy AV-8B Harrier aircraft.
In the summer of 2022, Major Constance reported to Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 31, where he served as the Operations Officer, Aviation Supply Officer, and Executive Officer. He transferred to MARFORCOM in July of 2025, where he served as the Branch Head, Aviation Financial Management, G-8. He was promoted to his current rank in October 2025.
LtCol Constance is a graduate of Officer Candidates School, The Basic School, Expeditionary Warfare School, Command and Staff College (Distinguished Graduate), the Aviation Supply Officer Basic Qualification Course, and the Joint Logistics Course. He holds the additional military occupational specialty of 6607 – Aviation Logistician.
His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with two gold stars, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and the Humanitarian Service Medal.
