Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 152
Lieutenant Colonel Joshua C. Mallow

LtCol Mallow was commissioned in 2007 after graduating from The Citadel. He was designated a Naval Aviator in 2010 and selected to fly the KC-130. 

After completing the KC-130J Aircrew Training Unit (ATU) in Cherry Point, NC, he was assigned to VMGR-252 where he served on multiple deployments, which included providing close air support from the Harvest HAWK system during Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.

In 2014 he was selected to become an Air/Fires Officer at Marine Forces Special Operation Command where he deployed to Iraq with Marine Special Operations Company Golf during Operation Inherent Resolve.

Upon return from this deployment in 2016, he was assigned to VMGR-152 in Iwakuni, Japan. While at the Sumos he graduated from the Weapons and Tactics Instructor course (WTI).

In 2018 he was selected to become a KC-130 instructor at Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One (MAWTS-1) in Yuma, AZ where he served as the KC-130 Division Head and squadron Director of Safety and Standardization.

In 2021 he was again assigned to VMGR-152 where he served as Operations Officer and Executive Officer before assignment to be the MAG-12 Executive Officer.

LtCol Mallow’s personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal (11), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (Gold Star), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and Combat Action Ribbon. He has accumulated over 3,500 mishap free flight hours.
