Major A. Ebony Brimhall, a native of New York, enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in August 2002. As an enlisted Marine, she served as an Aviation Supply Specialist with Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron (MALS) 29 aboard Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) New River, NC from 2003-2006. As a corporal, she deployed to Iraq with the Aviation Combat Element (ACE) within the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit with HMM-263(REIN) in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2004-2005 as an aviation supply accounting clerk. In March 2006, then Sergeant Pierre, was offered and accepted an appointment to the Naval Academy Preparatory School. She graduated in May 2007 and subsequently reported the United States Naval Academy. In May 2011, she earned her commission as Second Lieutenant from the United States Naval Academy and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
Upon graduation from the United States Naval Academy, she completed The Basic School and reported to MAG-31 aboard MCAS Beaufort, SC in December 2011 as an Aviation Supply officer. From 2011-2013, she served as the MAG-31 Fiscal and Marine Corps Property Officer.
In April 2013, Second Lieutenant Brimhall checked into MALS-24 aboard Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Kaneohe Bay. From 2013-2016 she served in multiple billets within the MALS-24 Aviation Supply Department, serving in roles such as the Consumable Management Division Officer-In-Charge (OIC), Repairable Management Division OIC, and the Supply Response Division OIC. In addition to the roles she filled at MALS-24, she also deployed to Darwin, Australia in March 2015 with HMH-463 Marine Rotational Force – Darwin as the MALS Detachment OIC.
In 2016, Captain Brimhall reported to MCAS Beaufort and served under the Marine Corps Deputy Commandant for Aviation as the Joint Strike Fighter (F-35) Fleet Introduction Team OIC for Headquarters Marine Corps, Aviation Support Branch. As the F-35 FIT OIC, Captain Brimhall served as the Marine Corps liaison with industry to ensure the proper outfitting for manning, logistics, training, equipping, and facility requirements for all F-35 units throughout the Marine Corps. Upon completion of those duties, she transitioned to MALS-31 to serve as the Assistant Aviation Supply Officer from July 2018 – June 2021.
In 2021, Major Brimhall was selected on the Commandant's Professional Intermediate-Level Education Board Intermediate to attend the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS). Major Brimhall attended and graduated NPS from June 2021 - June 2023 with a Master of Business Administration in Financial Management. Upon graduation from NPS, Major Brimhall reported to the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD and served as a finance instructor within the economics department. While at the Naval Academy, Major Brimhall also served as a member on the Naval Academy admissions board.
In July 2025, Major Brimhall reported to MALS-24 to serve in her current role as the Executive Officer.
