Maj. Robert M. Clary
Marine Aircraft Group -12 Executive Officer

Major Clary is from Niceville, Florida and was commissioned through the Officer Candidate Course in 2008 after earning a Bachelor of European History degree from the University of West Florida. He was designated a Naval Aviator in 2012 and completed KC-130J training later that year.

His subsequent assignments include: VMGR-252 from 2012-2015 participating in the Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force (SPMAGTF) Crisis Response 14.1; 2d Force Reconnaissance Company from 2015-2016; Marine Aircraft Group 14 in 2016; VMGR-252 from 2016-2019 participating in SPMAGTF Crisis Response-Africa 17.1; Training Squadron SIX from 2019-2021.

Major Clary is a graduate of the Aviation Safety Officer Course and was a distinguished graduate of the Expeditionary Warfare School Distance Education program.

Major Clary’s personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with gold star and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with gold star.

Major Clary is married and has two children.
