Major Easton Hunter

Major Easton Hunter is a native of Bridgeport, Texas. He attended college at the University of Oklahoma where he received his commission through the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps program in 2012. Upon graduation from The Basic School and Logistics Officers Course, he was assigned to Combat Logistics Battalion 3 where he served a Motor Transport Platoon Commander from August 2013 to July 2014, Assistant Operations Officer from August 2014 to December 2015, and Company Executive Officer from January to August 2016 where he deployed across the Indo-Pacific area of operations in support of various exercises.

In August 2016, Maj Hunter reported to 1st Recruit Training Battalion, MCRD Parris Island where he served as a Series Commander in Bravo and Delta Companies, and as Company Commander for Delta Company. Following Maj Hunter’s tour on the recruit training depot, he was assigned to Army Logistics University’s Logistics Captains Career Course.

 

Upon graduation, Maj Hunter reported to 3d Battalion, 1st Marines to serve as the Battalion Logistics Officer where he supported the MAGTF Customs and Border Protection mission and deployed in support of SPMAGTF-CR-CC 21.1. Following redeployment in summer of 2021, Maj Hunter transferred to HQBN, 1st MARDIV where he served as the Battalion Logistics Officer. From July 2022 through May 2025, he was assigned to 1st Marine Aircraft Wing where he served as the G-4 Plans Officer. In May 2025, he assumed duties as the Marine Wing Support Squadron 172 Executive Officer.

Maj Hunter holds a Bachelor of Science in General Health Studies. He is a graduate of the Expeditionary Warfare School-Distance Education Program, Army Logistics University Logistics Captains Career Course, Air Force University Command and Staff College-Distance Education Program, Advanced Expeditionary Logistics Operations Course, and Weapons and Tactics Instructor Course. His decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (gold star in lieu of second award), and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
