Lieutenant Colonel Benjamin D. Tuck

Lieutenant Colonel Benjamin Tuck is from Pismo Beach, California.  Following graduation from the U.S. Naval Academy, he was commissioned in May 2007 and is a career Communications Officer.

His Fleet Marine Force assignments and billets include Group S6, Marine Aircraft Group 26, MCAS New River, NC (2008-2011) where he also deployed in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM; Battalion S6, 3d Radio Battalion, MCB Hawaii (2011-2013); Aide de Camp to the Deputy Commanding General, Marine Corps Forces, Pacific, Camp Smith, HI (2013-2014); Executive Officer, 9th Communication Battalion, Camp Pendleton, CA (2018-2020); Assistant Chief of Staff G6, 3d Marine Expeditionary Brigade, Okinawa, Japan (2024-2025), and he is currently serving as the Commanding Officer, Marine Wing Communications Squadron 18 in Okinawa, Japan.

His staff and joint assignments include serving as the Chief, Director C4 Action Group and Radio / SATCOM Branch Chief, C4 Department, Deputy Commandant for Information, Headquarters Marine Corps, Arlington, VA (2016-2018); Special Technical Operations Chief, Information Operations Division J39, Joint Task Force Space Defense, USSPACECOM, Colorado Springs, CO (2021-2023), and J35 Division Chief, Space Forces Space / Combined Joint Forces Space Component Commander, USSPACECOM, Colorado Springs, CO (2023-2024) where he also became a Joint Specialty Officer.

His professional military education includes: Expeditionary Warfare School; Advanced Communications Officer Course; Marine Corps Command and Staff College; the National Security Space Institute, Space 200 and Space 300; the Naval War College, College of Command and Staff; the Integrated Joint Special Technical Operations Course, and the Joint Forces Staff College, Joint and Combined Warfighting School.

He earned a B.S. in Economics from the U.S. Naval Academy, an MBA from Colorado State University, an M.S. in Computer Science from the Naval Postgraduate School, an M.A. in Defense and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College, an M.Div. in Global Studies from Liberty University, and Graduate Certificates in Space Operations and Cyber Warfare from the Naval Postgraduate School.

Lieutenant Colonel Tuck’s personal decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with three gold stars in lieu of fourth award, the Joint Service Achievement Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and the Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal.
