U.S. Military members gather in Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands for exercise Valiant Shield Sept. 16-23, 2018. Valiant Shield is a biennial, U.S. only exercise with a focus of integration of joint training among U.S. forces. This training enables real world proficiency in sustaining joint forces through detecting, locating, tracking, and engaging units at sea, in the air, on land, and in cyberspace.
