Marine Corps aviation publishes 2022 Aviation Plan

For the first time since 2019, Headquarters Marine Corps, Aviation, released the 2022 Aviation Plan, May3, 2022. This year’s plan supports Gen. Berger’s Force Design 2030 by continuing to improve capabilities and restructuring Marine Corps aviation for the next 10 years.

The plan, published by Marine Corps Deputy Commandant for Aviation Lt. Gen. Mark R. Wise, outlines ongoing modernization efforts throughout Marine Corps aviation. The plan prioritizes readiness, reinforces the importance of flying from the sea, and refocuses on manpower, support to logistics and modern capabilities.

“We are taking an aggressive approach to build capabilities that will move, sustain, and support the individual Marine while making the force more lethal, effective, and survivable” said Wise.

Through major leaps in posturing the force, the Department of Aviation has remained steadfast in accomplishing the Commandant’s vision inbeing an integral part of the Marine Air Ground Task Force, joint force, allies, and partners.
