U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Maj. Christopher Adams, sergeant major of III Marine Expeditionary Force, reads a promotion warrant to Master Sgt. Christopher McCullar during McCullar’s redesignation to first sergeant on Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan, Jan. 9, 2026. McCullar was selected for a lateral move to first sergeant under the new E-8 transfer pilot initiative.
