First Sergeant Jonathon Bradley

First Sergeant Bradley enlisted in the Marine Corps in October 2003 and attended training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, California. After graduation he attended Marine Combat Training at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton and Personnel Admin School at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. His first duty assignment was Headquarters and Service Battalion, Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego as an Administrative Clerk. While at Headquarters and Service Battalion, he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant before departing active duty and joining the Individual Ready Reserve in October of 2007.

In October 2008, he rejoined the active duty ranks and received orders to Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, South Carolina where he served as a Flight Clearance Noncommissioned Officer in Charge. During this assignment he attended the Marine Aviation Training Support Squadron-1 for Marine Aviation Operations Support certification. His duties included tracking inbound and outbound aircraft, daily surface checks of the airfield to ensure it was clear of any debris, and processing and providing support for any transient aircraft passing through Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort.

In July 2011, he received Permanent Change of Assignment (PCA) orders and joined Marine Fighter Attack squadron 115 as the Assistant Operations Chief where he completed a Unit Deployment Program to Iwakuni, Japan, Guam and Thailand. Upon returning from deployment, he volunteered for recruiting duty and was assigned to 8th Marine Corps Recruiting District, Recruiting Station Houston, Texas where he served as a Canvassing Recruiter and was promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant. Upon completion of his Special Duty Assignment, he received orders to Marine Attack Squadron 211, Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Arizona where he served as the Squadron Operations Chief.

In February 2016, he relocated to Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 121, Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Arizona as the Operations Chief and was responsible for relocating the squadron permanently from Marine Corps Air Station Yuma,
Arizona to Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan. There he participated in one of the first F-35B operational deployments aboard the USS Wasp. In October 2018, he was promoted to the rank of Gunnery Sergeant and in November 2018, he received orders to Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni as the Airfield Operations Chief.

In July 2019, he received orders to Marine Aircraft Group (MAG) 13 in Yuma, Arizona as the MAG-13 Operations Chief, where he also served as the MAG-13 Squadron Gunnery Sergeant. In August 2022, he received orders back to Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni where he served as the Airfield Operations Chief once again. On May 1st, he was frocked to the rank of First Sergeant and executed a PCA to Marine Wing Support Squadron 171, Support Company. In December 2023, he assumed the roles as the MWSS-171 Headquarters Company First Sergeant.

First Sergeant Bradley completed Corporals Course Resident Program in 2006, Sergeants Course Resident course in 2009, Staff Non-Commissioned Officer Residents Course in 2015, Senior Enlisted Joint PME Non-Resident in 2015, Staff Non-Commissioned Officer Advanced Course in 2020, Senior Enlisted Joint PME II Non-Resident in 2021, and First Sergeant Course in 2023.

First Sergeant Bradley's personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation medal with 1 Gold Star, and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with 1 Gold Star. First Sergeant Bradley is married to Adriana Bradley and they have three children, Liliana, Jacob, and Alexandria.
