SgtMaj Jared B. Game
Sergeant Major Game was born in Torrance, California. He enlisted in the Marine Corps on 6 December 1996 and attended Recruit Training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego with Kilo Company January 1997. Upon completion of recruit training Private First Class Game attended Marine Combat Training at the School of Infantry, Camp Pendleton, California.
Private First Class Game reported to HMT-302 FREST, New River, North Carolina, in June of 1997 to receive training as a Helicopter Dynamic Component Mechanic. Upon graduation he received the PMOS of 6132.
In September 1997, Private First Class Game reported to Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 39 (MALS-39), Camp Pendleton, California for his first fleet assignment. In October 1997 he was promoted to the rank of Lance Corporal and served as a Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI) for his unit. In April 1998 he was promoted to the rank of Corporal, where he attend Corporal course and graduated as Honor Graduate. Corporal Game deployed from January-July 2000 with MALS-39 on the 15th MEU, where he participated in numerous exercises and operations, including Operations Enduring Freedom and Restore Hope in East Timor.
Corporal Game was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in February 2001 and assumed the billet of Work Center Supervisor for Work Center 440 and Collateral Duty Quality Assurance Representative (CDQAR), in the Helicopter Dynamic Component Shop. In January 2003 Sergeant Game deployed with MALS-39/TAVB on the USNS CURTISS during Operation Iraqi Freedom I.
Sergeant Game returned from deployment in June 2003 and held the billet of Production Controller until January 2004 when he attached to HMH-769 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. He returned to MALS-39 in June of 2004 and assumed the billet of a Quality Assurance Representative (QAR) for the Power Plants Division. In November 2004 Sergeant Game was promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant. In January of 2005 Staff Sergeant Game returned to the Power Plants Division as the Work Center Supervisor. From February to August of 2006, Staff Sergeant Game again deployed to Iraq serving as the Detachment SNCOIC for HMM-268 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 5-7-1.
Staff Sergeant Game reported to Drill Instructor School MCRD San Diego, California in December of 2006. Upon graduation he was assigned to Charlie Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion where he served as a Drill Instructor and Senior Drill Instructor. He was then assigned to Alpha Company as a Series Chief Drill Instructor followed by 1st Recruit Training Battalion Operations Chief.
Staff Sergeant Game executed orders to MALS-39 Camp Pendleton, California in January of 2010, where he held the billet as the Power Plants Division Chief. Staff Sergeant Game was promoted to Gunnery Sergeant in August 2010, and then deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom from August 2010 to February 2011.
Gunnery Sergeant Game executed orders to MALS-36 in Okinawa, Japan in March of 2013 assuming the billet as the Squadron Operations Chief, where he was selected for First Sergeant.
In March 2014 Gunnery Sergeant Game was frocked to First Sergeant and received orders as Company First Sergeant for Company D, 1st Tank Battalion. September 2014 First Sergeant Game was promoted to his current rank.
In February 2015, First Sergeant Game received orders to I MEF for Advise & Assist (A&A) Team 15.2, where he deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, as the A&A Team Chief, upon arrival he also assumed the billet as the Task Force Sergeant Major, Task Force Al Asad, Iraq, a Joint Coalition Task Force.
In May 2016 he returned to 1st Tank Battalion and assumed the billet as Company First Sergeant, Company C. During this period First Sergeant Game was selected for the additional MOS of 0571 Foreign Security Forces Advisor.
In June 2017 First Sergeant Game executed orders to Security Force Battalion, Bangor WA., where he assumed the billet as Company First Sergeant, Company A, where in November of 2017 he was selected for Sergeant Major.
In June of 2018 Sergeant Major Game executed orders to his current billet as Squadron Sergeant Major VMFA-121 “Green Knights”, MAG-12, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, Iwakuni Japan.
Sergeant Major Game’s personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal Gold Star in Lieu of 2nd Award, and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, as well as multiple service and operational decorations.
