Sergeant Isaac J. Cook
Isaac J. Cook was born in Pensacola, Florida. He enlisted in the Marine Corps on July 24, 2016 to begin recruit training with Lima Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion. Recruit Cook graduated on October 21, 2016 as a Private First Class. Private First Class Cook reported to Marine Combat Training (MCT) aboard Camp Lejeune. Upon graduating a month later, he received a Meritorious Mast and orders to report to Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in Twenty-Nine Palms, California to attend the Basic Electronics Course, where he was voted by his peers as the Warrior Award recipient. Upon completion of the course, he proceeded to attend his Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) course of Telephone Systems/Personal Computer Intermediate Repairer where he earned the MOS of 2847. While training in Twenty-Nine Palms, he was promoted to Lance Corporal. In September 2017, Lance Corporal Cook went on to graduate from his MOS as the Honor Graduate out 16 students.
On October 6, 2017, Lance Corporal Cook reported in to the Electronics Maintenance Company, 3D Maintenance Battalion, Combat Logistics Regiment 35 to begin his work in the Intermediate Maintenance Platoon. He was assigned to the Radio Repair Section of the Intermediate Activity (IMA) Platoon in October of 2017. In December 2017, Lance Corporal Cook participated in Parking Lot Fury held at Electronics Maintenance Company. On March 2, 2018, Lance Corporal Cook was meritoriously promoted to Corporal. Corporal Cook was then reassigned and became an Inductions Non- Commissioned Officer for the IMA Platoon. Through determination, Corporal Cook achieved the position of 3D Maintenance Battalion Single Marine Program Representative and was chosen to be the Organizational Colors bearer. Corporal Cook was selected as the 3rd Quarter Non-Commissioned Officer for 3d Maintenance Battalion for fiscal year 2018. In September of 2018, Corporal Cook was chosen to participate in KAMANDAG 2 ’18 with 3d Marine Expeditionary Brigade in Subic Bay, Philippines. On November 7, 2018 Corporal Cook was selected to become the Induction Section Head for the IMA platoon. Corporal Cook was meritoriously promoted to Sergeant on February 2, 2019.
On August 1, 2019, Sergeant Cook reported to Marine Air Support Squadron 2, Marine Air Control Group 18. Sergeant Cook proceeded to become the Marine Air Support Squadron 2 Color Sergeant on June 1, 2020.
