Major Snyder


Major Snyder completed her undergraduate education majoring in Criminology at the University of Florida. While at school, she participated in the ROTC program in which she obtained a commission as a Second Lieutenant in the Marine Corps in 2009.

Following The Basic School and Logistics Officer Course, she was assigned to Combat Logistics Battalion 7, Twentynine Palms, Ca in May 2010. During this tour, 2ndLt Snyder served as a Motor Transport Platoon Commander and deployed to Afghanistan in support of OEF from May 2011 to November 2011. Upon her return, she became the Executive Officer, Transportation Support Company until November 2012. 1stLt Snyder then deployed as an individual augment to support the Retrograde and Redeployment in support of Reset and Reconstitution Operations Group (R4OG). She returned to California in June of 2013 and immediately PCS’d.

Captain Snyder’s next duty assignment was MARCENT Forward in Bahrain where she served as the Information Operations Officer after attending the MAGTF IO Planners course. While in Bahrain, Captain Snyder was selected on the CCLEB and was slated for the Naval Post Graduate School to earn a Master’s degree in Information Technology Management.

Captain Snyder reported to NPS in June of 2014 where she spent 27 months working on her Masters. She completed all required coursework, to include Joint Professional Military Education (JPME1). Her thesis work focused on Web Application development to combine multiple transportation databases for a cohesive and integrated approach to modernizing Logistics Management. After graduation, Captain Snyder reported to Education Command in October 2016 where she served as the Emerging Technology Officer. In May 2017, she was selected as the Aide-De-Camp for Training and Education Command. She served as ADC for two years before being promoting to Major and PCS’ing to MAG-24, Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii.

Major Snyder’s personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement medal and the Combat Action Ribbon.
